Services Performed
- Confirmed oil is mixing into the coolant expansion tank reservoir. Removed the transmission oil cooler for inspection and found oil inside of coolant outlet which confirms the oil cooler diaphragm seal has failed. Recommend oil cooler is removed and replaced. Radiator cap seal is broken, tested the radiator cap and confirmed cap is no longer holding pressure at this time, recommend the radiator cap is removed and replaced. Recommend coolant reservoir is cleaned and reservoir hose is removed and replaced. Recommend transmission drain and fill service is performed.
- Removed and replaced the radiator cap and expansion tank hose. Cleaned the expansion tank w/ de-greaser and performed coolant exchange service. Filled the radiator w/ coolant and let the engine idle until it reached operating temperature, the thermostat opened and the cooling fans activated. Recommend coolant exchange service is performed in the next 15,000 to completely rid oil in cooling systen.
- Removed and replaced the transmission oil cooler.
- Removed the transmission drain plug and drained transmission fluid. Secured the drain plug and filled transmission fluid through the fill plug. Road tested the vehicle after repair, the transmission is shifting fine at this time. Raised the vehicle on rack for final inspection, found no transmission fluid leaks at this time.
