Confirmed the check engine light is illuminated on the instrument panel cluster. Scanned the engine control module for codes: P0304 – Cylinder #4 Misfire. P0354 – Ignition Coil D Primary Control Circuit. Checked for spark at ignition coil in cylinder #4 and confirmed spark is not available at this time. Measured ignition coil resistance and confirmed resistance is above factory specification. Recommend the ignition coil in cylinder #4 is removed and replaced then will re-check for misfire after repair.
Removed and replaced the ignition coil for cylinder #4. Reset the check engine light and road tested the vehicle for final inspection, the check engine light has not returned and the vehicle is no longer misfiring at this time.
